Formerly known as CMS Guest House, ACK Guest House has a rich heritage that dates back to the provision of accommodation for missionaries from upcountry stations. The original house, belonging to Wilbughby Carey, occupied the very spot where Their Guest House now proudly stands. In order to erect the present-day structure, Carey’s old ‘mabati’ had to be demolished, making way for the birth of a new chapter in our history.In 1970, following the inauguration of the Anglican Church of Kenya Province, the house transitioned from being called C.M.S. to C.P.K. However, it wasn’t until February 1998, after a vote by the Provincial Synod, that the Church adopted the name Anglican Church of Kenya, solidifying its identity. Since opening Its doors in December 1945, ACK Guest House has had the pleasure of hosting guests from all corners of the world. Over the years, many of these visitors have become cherished friends, with countless individuals returning to Their haven time and time again.
