  Africa Water Solution is a visionary organization dedicated to improving human welfare by providing access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene through Community Centred Design Approaches. With a strong commitment to transparency, advocacy, inclusiveness, empowerment, teamwork, and excellence, Africa Water Solution is making a significant impact in Uganda. This review article explores the organization’s mission, values, and accomplishments, highlighting its dedication to combating diarrheal diseases and empowering communities.   Mission and Vision: Africa Water Solution envisions a healthy and empowered population in East and Central Africa. Their mission is to enhance human welfare by improving access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene using Community Centred Design Approaches. By adopting an inclusive and transparent approach, the organization aims to create sustainable solutions that positively impact communities in need.   Values: Open Communication: Africa Water Solution values transparency, integrity, and stewardship in its interactions with all key stakeholders. By fostering open communication, the organization ensures that everyone involved is well-informed and engaged in decision-making processes.   Advocacy: With a special focus on children and mothers, Africa Water Solution raises its voice to advocate for the disadvantaged. By actively promoting their rights and well-being, the organization seeks to create a better future for vulnerable individuals in society.   Inclusiveness: Africa Water Solution embraces diversity and treats all individuals, regardless of race, gender, or disability, with equal respect and consideration. By creating an inclusive environment, the organization ensures that everyone has an opportunity to benefit from their initiatives.   Empowerment: The organization aims to build the capacity of beneficiaries by improving their health and facilitating behavioral change. Through various programs, Africa Water Solution empowers communities to take charge of their own development and create sustainable solutions.   Teamwork: Africa Water Solution promotes collaboration and values individual skills within a team environment. By working together and providing constructive feedback, the organization achieves excellent outcomes and continuously improves its strategies and approaches.   Excellence: Striving for excellence is a core value at Africa Water Solution. The organization is committed to making accurate and precise decisions while implementing effective strategies to achieve its mission. By maintaining high standards, Africa Water Solution ensures the best possible outcomes for the communities it serves.   Objective and Impact: Africa Water Solution exists to help communities overcome the challenges caused by poor access to safe water, proper sanitation, and hygiene. With a specific focus on fighting diarrheal diseases, the organization aims to enable 90 out of every 100 beneficiaries to live free from such infections. Additionally, Africa Water Solution seeks to empower communities economically through the establishment of Village Savings and Loans Associations (VSLAs).   Approach and Coverage: Operating in 11 districts of Uganda, Africa Water Solution primarily focuses on rural areas that face water stress and are most affected by WASH-related sicknesses like acute diarrhoea, dysentery, and cholera. The organization’s community-centred approach involves co-creating solutions with communities and providing them with the necessary knowledge and skills to address water treatment, sanitation, and hygiene challenges.   Beyond WASH initiatives, Africa Water Solution has expanded its program to include clean and sustainable energy production. Furthermore, the organization is dedicated to empowering vulnerable teenage girls and mothers by providing educational opportunities.   With over 150,000 families currently benefiting from Africa Water Solution’s interventions, the organization has formed partnerships with five institutions that provide crucial funding. These partnerships enable the organization to expand its coverage and continue making a meaningful difference in the lives of communities across Uganda.
