The Centre for Children in Vulnerable Situations (CCVS) is a testament to the power of collaboration and dedication. Created in 2008 with the support of the Belgian government’s Service Peace Building, the CCVS is a joint effort between three Belgian universities, working together to preserve the knowledge and expertise gained at the Rachele Rehabilitation Centre in Northern Uganda.The CCVS is dedicated to protecting the rights of former child soldiers and other children in vulnerable situations. Through research, education, and advocacy, the centre is working to raise awareness of the challenges faced by these children and to promote their well-being. The centre’s efforts have been instrumental in bringing attention to the issue of child soldiering in Northern Uganda and around the world.Thanks to the support of the Belgian government and the dedication of its staff, the CCVS is making a real difference in the lives of former child soldiers.
