CoRSU Rehabilitation Hospital;

( A Haven for Orthopedic and Plastic Surgeries in Uganda)

CoRSU Rehabilitation Hospital is a specialized surgical hospital located in Kisubi, a neighborhood in Wakiso District, Uganda’s Central Region. Established in 2006 as a non-profit organization, CoRSU has been at the forefront of providing medical rehabilitation services for children and people with disabilities in Uganda.The hospital’s main objective is to correct and rehabilitate orthopedic problems, which account for over 50% of the patients served. The hospital also provides plastic surgery, VVF repair, and burns treatment, which constitute about 45% of the patients served. The hospital has maintained a high standard of service delivery and has gained recognition for its excellent services.At CoRSU Rehabilitation Hospital, children below the age of 18 receive treatment at no cost to the patient or family. The hospital maintains various departments, including Orthopedic Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Rehabilitative Services, Nursing Services, Nutrition Services, Dental Services, VVF Department, Private Patient Services, Department of Community Outreach, Human Resources Department, and Department of Strategic Information. These departments work in synergy to ensure patients receive comprehensive care.CoRSU Rehabilitation Hospital has a private wing to cater to patients with the ability to pay. These patients have been travelling to Kenya, India, South Africa, Europe, and North America to receive specialized surgical services. The private wing aims to increase hospital revenue and improve service delivery.The hospital’s location along the Kampala-Entebbe Road, approximately 33 kilometers south of Mulago National Referral Hospital and 18 kilometers north-east of Entebbe International Airport, makes it accessible to patients from different parts of Uganda and beyond.
