Divine Mercy Secondary School is a mixed day and boarding secondary school located in Kabarole district, 8km from Fort Portal tourism city along the Fort Portal-Kamwenge road.Established in 2009 by Dr. Rev. Fr Christopher Mukidi B, Divine Mercy Secondary School is a private Catholic founded school that has been making a significant impact on the educational sector in western Uganda.The school’s name “Divine Mercy” was chosen to highlight the kindness and mercy of God in people’s lives, particularly for making it possible for such a secondary school to be built in the area. The school has a UNEB registration center number U2986, offering both O and A level education.The school’s dedication to nurturing talent and encouraging students to explore their interests has made it one of the best-performing schools in western Uganda.At Divine Mercy Secondary School, students are encouraged to explore their talents and interests through co-curricular activities, which include sports, music, dance, and drama.The school has a highly trained and dedicated teaching staff that is committed to delivering quality education to students. Of recent, Kiko trading center has been declared a town council hence qualifying it to be a town along Kamwenge road.
