This serendipitous meeting, coupled with the breathtaking beauty of Sekenani Valley, led Karl to realize that his dream of establishing a remarkable camp in East Africa was about to come to fruition. The inspiration drawn from his grandfather’s tenure at Karen Farm adds an enchanting layer to Entumoto Safari Camp’s allure.   A Conservation Oasis: In 2014, Karl and Rimoine embarked on a mission to create a conservancy for Entumoto. The Sekenani Valley, where the camp resides, was previously devoid of significant wildlife due to the absence of a conservation area. After extensive efforts to garner support from local Masai landowners and the Siana Committee members, the Sekenani Valley was eventually included in the larger Siana Conservancy. Thus, the birth of Entumoto Conservancy marked a milestone in the region’s conservation history.   Exclusivity and Sustainability: At Entumoto Safari Camp, guests are treated to an exclusive and immersive wildlife experience within the private conservancy. The camp leases land from local Masai plot owners, who have signed a 15-year agreement, ensuring a sustainable model that benefits both the community and the environment. The revenue generated from conservation fees is utilized to finance land leases, enhance infrastructure, and provide essential training to rangers.
