Deep-rooted in the serene suburbs of Kampala, Uganda, rests a precious gem of education and character molding – Heritage International School. This thriving Christian international school has etched a lasting legacy for 28 years, catering to the holistic development of its diverse student population.   Heritage International School was birthed from the hopes of a handful of missionary mothers who envisioned a Christian educational framework for their children. Today, it stands tall, nurturing over 500 students from an astounding 38 countries, guided by a passionate team of international educators and administrators. The school is comfortably nestled within a 15-acre campus, providing an intimate, focused learning experience with a maximum class size of 20 students, right from Kindergarten to Grade 12.   At Heritage, the focus is not solely on academic excellence. The school goes beyond the confines of traditional education to shape well-rounded individuals. It’s an education institution that cherishes the importance of mental, physical, spiritual, and social growth. Here, lifelong relationships are fostered in a nurturing Christian environment, reflecting the mission to impart quality international education to all.   The origin of Heritage International School is as inspiring as its current standing. Born from a humble discussion at a family picnic in the late ’80s, a group of mothers dreamed of an ideal educational setting that combined solid Christian values, high-quality education, and affordability. This dream was realized on the 9th of September 1994, when Heritage opened its doors with an initial enrollment of just 32 students.   The journey of Heritage has been awe-inspiring. From a residential house serving as a school to a custom-built campus that was inaugurated by the President of Uganda, His Excellence Yoweri Museveni, in 2005. Despite initial challenges, the school has seen immense growth, almost tripling its student count since 2010. Today, Heritage serves as a safe haven for internationally mobile families and a lighthouse for missionary families seeking quality Christian-centered education.   Heritage International School has been formally recognized and accredited by various educational authorities, including the Ministry of Education for Uganda, ACSI, and MSA, affirming its commitment to providing an unmatched learning experience for its students.
