Children are the future of any nation, and their well-being is essential for the growth and development of any country. Unfortunately, many children in Uganda suffer from the violation of their rights, leading to a bleak future for them and the country. However, since 2005, Joy For Children Uganda (JFCU) has been working tirelessly to champion the rights of all children in Uganda.JFCU’s focus is on promoting peaceful living and preventing the exploitation of children, ensuring they have access to quality education, and thriving in economic security and justice. Additionally, they seek to provide access to clean water, good healthcare, and nutrition, enabling children to prosper in life. The organization has its head office located in Kampala, with field offices in Fort Portal and Lira City.JFCU is also instrumental in coordinating Girls Not Brides Uganda, a national alliance of 106 NGOs working to end child marriage and teenage pregnancies, ensuring girls and women’s rights are preserved. The organization also coordinates MenEngage Uganda, a network of 60 CSOs working to reduce gender inequalities, prevent gender-based violence, reduce HIV infections, and promote good health for women, girls, boys, and men.JFCU is a trusted partner for local knowledge and expertise, working directly with communities in Uganda and providing project implementation and services for international organizations. Their staff members possess in-depth knowledge of local customs, traditions, and cultures, enabling them to navigate them effectively. They also maintain excellent relationships with a cross-section of Ugandan civil society and government, creating effective coalitions through inclusivity and diversity.The organization has a rich history of creating its own projects and developing innovative approaches to solve long-standing, entrenched social and economic problems.
