Description

Kalongo Technical Institute (KTI)

Kalongo Technical Institute (KTI) is a hidden gem in the heart of Northern Uganda, founded in 1983 by the Roman Catholic Church with the noble objective of providing young people in Agago and neighboring Districts with access to Technical and Vocational Training.

Prior to KTI’s establishment, Kitgum Technical Institute was the only technical school available in East Acholi, but it could not keep up with the growing demand for technical and vocational skills training.

Nestled 4 kilometres away from Kalongo Town Council and 2 kilometres off Paimol Road in Lela Kale village, Parumu parish, Parabongo sub-county, Agago District, KTI boasts of a serene environment perfect for learning.

It’s no secret that Agago District was one of the worst-affected areas during the LRA war that lasted for two decades, but KTI has remained resilient in its mission to provide young people with hope and a future.

The institute offers a wide range of courses, including plumbing, carpentry, mechanics, and electrical engineering, to name a few. The highly skilled and experienced instructors at KTI go above and beyond to equip students with practical skills and knowledge that are highly relevant in today’s job market.

At KTI, you’ll find state-of-the-art facilities, including well-equipped workshops, a fully stocked library, and modern classrooms. The institute’s commitment to excellence has not gone unnoticed, and it has received recognition as one of the best technical schools in Northern Uganda.

If you’re looking for a technical institute that offers hands-on training, a supportive learning environment, and a chance to transform your future, then Kalongo Technical Institute is the place to be.
