Kubweye Secondary School, established in 1992, stands as a testament to the power of community collaboration and the pursuit of providing quality education to underprivileged boys and girls in the Kubweye locality of East and Central Africa. This remarkable institution was brought to life through the dedicated efforts of the local community and the generous sponsorship of Maranatha Faith Assemblies (Kenya).Located on a piece of land donated by the community, Kubweye Secondary School has grown and expanded over the years, thanks to the collective vision of its founders. With additional land acquired from neighboring individuals, the school has been able to accommodate more students and enhance its facilities. In its early stages, the school received crucial support from World Vision, an esteemed humanitarian organization. Through this partnership, three classrooms, two dormitories (separately for girls and boys), and a science laboratory were constructed, providing the students with an enriched learning environment.The journey of Kubweye Secondary School took a significant leap forward in 1996 when Rev. David Duveskog, with the support of SIDA, secured a sponsorship of Ksh 2.5 million shillings. This financial boost enabled the school to undertake various transformative projects. Four additional classrooms, a staffroom, and an administration block were constructed, catering to the growing number of students. The funds also facilitated the fencing of the school compound, the installation of a school gate, and the roofing of the dormitories and principal’s house. Embracing the values of education and honesty, Kubweye Secondary School has established itself as an institution committed to providing holistic education. The school’s mission is to create an environment that nurtures the overall development of learners and encourages them to strive for excellence in all aspects of their lives.
