Kuluva Hospital

A Beacon of Hope for Northern Uganda

Kuluva Hospital, located in the village of Kuluva, is a private, non-profit, community hospital that has been serving patients in the West Nile sub-region of Uganda for over a century. The hospital is owned and administered by the Church of Uganda and is a member of the Uganda Protestant Medical Bureau. The hospital has a bed capacity of 200 and offers a range of medical services to patients from the communities in the West Nile sub-region, as well as from neighboring countries such as the Democratic Republic of the Congo and South Sudan. The hospital has several well-established departments, including the Outpatients Department, Pediatrics Department, Internal Medicine Department, Surgery Department, Obstetrics & Gynecology Department, and Nutritional Education & Rehabilitation Department. At Kuluva Hospital, a small fee is charged for medical services provided, although no one is turned away for lack of payment. This has made the hospital a beacon of hope for the people of Northern Uganda, who often struggle to access quality healthcare due to their remote location and limited financial resources. The hospital’s commitment to providing affordable and accessible healthcare has not gone unnoticed.
