Maasai Mara University

Maasai Mara University (MMU) is a public university situated in the town of Narok, located in Narok County, Kenya. Established on 16th July 2008, as Narok University College, MMU is accredited by the Commission for University Education of Kenya. It rebranded in 2013, and currently, the university occupies an estimated 129-acre land, hosting its main campus. MMU offers a wide range of courses, including undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, as well as diploma and certificate courses in various subjects. The university is dedicated to providing quality education to its students to prepare them for the job market. The Acting Vice Chancellor, Professor Kitche Magak, recently announced the launch of a project to manufacture reusable sanitary towels for girls from low-income families. The project has attracted the collaboration of notable personalities such as Chris Kirubi, an industrialist and philanthropist, Jennifer Riria, a businesswoman and corporate executive, and Bedi Investments Limited, a textile and garments manufacturer. Together, they have donated industrial machinery to the project to ensure its success.
