Nairobi National Park

Nairobi National Park is a remarkable wildlife sanctuary located just 7 kilometers from Nairobi city center in Kenya. Established in 1946, it is Kenya’s oldest and most prominent national park, providing refuge for various species of animals in its 117.21 square kilometers area. The park has a rich history, initially used as a game reserve where British colonists settled for hunting activities. However, over time, the reserve transformed into a national park with unique vegetation, including scattered Acacia bushes and cypress trees that provide a natural habitat for diverse species of wildlife.The park boasts of a varied wildlife population that includes herbivores and predators such as lions, leopards, and black rhinoceros.
