Changing Lives through Play-based Learning!

Right To Play is an organization dedicated to helping children in some of the most challenging parts of the world. For over 20 years, the organization has been working to help children stay in school, resist exploitation, stay safe from disease, and heal from the harsh realities of war and abuse. The organization was founded in 1994 by Norwegian speed skater Johann Olav Koss. Koss was inspired by the resilience of children he met on a humanitarian trip to Eritrea. Despite living in a country emerging from decades of war, the children were playing together with a simple shirtball. This encounter led Koss to found Right To Play and to use the power of play to improve the lives of children in challenging circumstances.Today, Right To Play reaches 1.52 million children in 15 countries across Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Canada. The organization creates positive and safe environments where children can learn and succeed, both inside and outside the classroom. By using play in all its forms, Right To Play provides rich and engaging learning experiences that empower children to rise above adversity and create a more peaceful and equitable world.Right To Play’s vision is to empower 100 million children by 2030 with the education, skills, and opportunities they need to succeed. The organization’s play-based approach to learning is making a significant impact on the lives of children, providing them with the tools they need to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. With its commitment to empowering children through play, Right To Play is changing lives and creating a brighter future for generations to come.
