The St. Lawrence Schools and Colleges is a name that resonates with excellence and innovation in the education sector of East Africa. Established in 1993 by Professor Lawrence Mukiibi, St. Lawrence started with only six students at Kabaka’s Lake Campus.Today, it is a journey of a thousand miles that has led to the establishment of eight self-contained and attractive campuses, including the latest addition – Zabeti College of St. Lawrence.What makes St. Lawrence unique is the way it has integrated education and innovation to create a seamless learning experience for its students. The Crown City campus, Creamland Campus, Horizon campus, London College, The Academy-St. Lawrence, Lorencia Junior School, Paris Palais College of St. Lawrence, and the newly opened Zabeti College of St. Lawrence offer a diverse range of learning opportunities for students at different levels.St. Lawrence Citizens High School, popularly known as Kabaka’s Lake Campus, was the first campus established by the institution. The campus was named after the adjacent traditional Kabaka’s lake in Lubaga, Mengo.It later moved to the 120-acre Crown City campus at Katende to make way for the St. Lawrence University (SLAU). Crown City is a mixed boarding, ordinary, and advanced level learning center that emphasizes science education at the advanced level.Over the years, St. Lawrence Schools and Colleges have received national and international recognition for their investment in education. The institution has scooped several awards, including the Investor of the year award, Presidential Transformers award, Globals Leadership Award, and Buzz Teeniez Award for Best Principal, to mention a few.St. Lawrence Schools and Colleges are heavily indebted to the students of St. Lawrence Citizens High School. To maintain their attachment to royalty, this campus was named Crown City, and students formerly called “Kabaka’s Lakers” are now called “the Royals.”St. Lawrence Schools and Colleges are dedicated to providing a holistic learning experience that produces all-round, self-confident students with international exposure and global perspectives.The institution’s investment in education has earned it a reputation as a four-star (Diamond category) center of secondary education in Wakiso District, Uganda.
