Its pioneering batch of Form Five students enrolled in March 1961 and embarked on the Higher School Certificate Examination in November 1962, setting a precedent for academic excellence.Recognizing the importance of accountancy studies, the college expanded its curriculum in January 1966 to include preparations for the Association of Certified Accountants examinations. Subsequently, in January 1977, the school welcomed its first intake of Form One students, gradually expanding its secondary education program to encompass Forms One to Four between 1977 and 1980.The College is meticulously managed by the Study Centres of Kenya, ensuring the highest standards of education are upheld. The trust and responsibility associated with the school are held by Strathmore Registered Trustees, a charitable Trust that operates under the Land (Perpetual Succession) Ordinance. This governance structure Strathmore College encompasses two levels: the ‘Strathmore College School of Accountancy’ for post-secondary studies and the ‘Strathmore School’ for primary and secondary education.
