The Aga Khan High School, Kampala is part of the Aga Khan Education Services (AKES), which has a long tradition of leadership in educational development. Under the guidance of Sir Sultan Mahomed Shah, Aga Khan III, over 200 schools were established during the first half of the 20th century, with the first schools being established around 1905 in Zanzibar, Gwadar (Pakistan), Dar es Salaam (Tanzania), and Mundra (India).The Aga Khan High School, Kampala has a rich history of producing talented young men and women who have gone on to key universities and positions internationally, taking with them the skills and confidence nurtured at Uganda’s first multi-cultural school.The school is managed by AKES, which currently operates more than 200 schools and several educational programs that provide quality pre-school, primary, secondary, and higher secondary education services to more than 75,000 students in Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, United Arab Emirates, and Madagascar.
