World Vision’s history is one of service and sacrifice, beginning with founder Bob Pierce’s decision to use the last $5 in his pocket to care for an abandoned Chinese girl in 1947. Despite warnings of the risks involved, World Vision was undeterred, recognizing that every life is valuable and worth protecting.Today, World Vision is working tirelessly to respond to the ongoing crisis in Syria, providing critical aid to millions of displaced and vulnerable children and families.
