Acorns International School (AIS)

Acorns International School (AIS) is a leading institution in Uganda that has been providing exemplary international educational standards to students for 25 years. From its humble beginnings as a Preschool in Nakasero in 1996, the school has transformed into an International Baccalaureate (IB) Continuum World School that offers a range of programmes for students aged 18 months to 18 years.

AIS is authorised to offer the IB Continuum programme, which includes the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP). The school is the second in Uganda to offer this programme, making it an excellent choice for students seeking an affordable international education. In addition, the school offers the Cambridge A Levels Programme, making it the only institution in Uganda that offers two of the highest-rated parallel international curricula.

The school’s sprawling 5-acre, purpose-built campus has been designed to cater to the various needs of students. It features state-of-the-art smart classrooms, science labs, IT labs, and a Design and Tech lab, among other amenities. The school also offers a multi-language programme that includes French, Kiswahili, Family Language, and Spanish. The campus boasts music, dance, and drama studios, as well as swimming pools and playing fields.

AIS prides itself on its commitment to nurturing the holistic and balanced development of each child. The school’s pluralistic values embrace diversity and foster a sense of community. The school has a diverse student population, representing more than 30 nationalities, and a staff population that matches the same diversity.

The school’s various international accreditations attest to the quality of education it offers.
