Mpigi General Hospital is a state-of-the-art healthcare facility located in the town of Mpigi, in Mpigi District. The hospital, which was established in July 2012, serves as the district hospital for Mpigi District and has been providing quality healthcare services to the people of the district ever since. With a bed capacity of 100 beds, Mpigi General Hospital is staffed by a team of experienced medical professionals including one medical officer, clinical officers, nurses, and midwives who work tirelessly to attend to the various health conditions that affect the people of Mpigi District. At Mpigi General Hospital, patients are assured of quality healthcare services that cater to various health conditions including obstetric cases and complications, HIV/AIDS related morbidity, childhood fevers, and respiratory infections among children and adults. The hospital’s medical team is committed to ensuring that patients receive the best possible healthcare services that are tailored to meet their unique needs. The hospital’s establishment was driven by the area Member of Parliament, Amelia Kyambadde, who also serves as the Minister of Trade and Industry. Amelia Kyambadde has continued to support the hospital by donating equipment, either directly or through her area NGO; Twezimbe Development Foundation. Her support has been instrumental in ensuring that the hospital has state-of-the-art medical equipment that is essential in delivering quality healthcare services to the people of Mpigi District.
